Introducing Friends of Jack and Ruby!  At Jack and Ruby we recognize that sometimes it’s not what you know, but WHO you know! In the wedding industry there are many people that contribute to making a couples dream day come to life. We have come into contact with many talented people along the way, and we would like to feature some of our favorites here, in our “Friends of Jack and Ruby” posts.

To launch our Friends of Jack and Ruby series, we bring you Tracy of Tracy’s Day Spa. Tracy is our absolute favorite esthetician, hair stylist, and make up artist in Southern Manitoba. Tracy has an eye for detail and perfection like no other. We have both been spoiled by Tracy’s talents time and time again, from prettifying our toes and eyebrows, to getting our hair did. She also got us both wedding ready with the ultimate bridal make up(and hair too for Becky)!

Tracy is a true talent in getting brides camera ready. Her make up applications are flawless, which is what every bride wants. We cannot stress ENOUGH the importance of professional make up on your wedding day. Tracy totally gets that this is a day you will have 100 plus people staring at you, and that the photos from this day will live on your walls and in your families homes for years and years to come. We love Tracy because she makes our job easier. When our brides go to Tracy we know her eyes will sparkle, her skin will glow, and we won’t have to fix a blemish 500 times over while we edit your wedding photos!

Apart from her amazing skills with a curling iron and make-up brush Tracy is also a complete delight to be around! We asked Tracy some of the “Jack and Ruby questions” and after reading them we’re tempted to call her up to eat peach pie and watch Grease with her!

What’s your favorite thing in your closet?
Right now this oversized Juicy tee and my Nudie jeans

When you’re not working, what’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?
Just hanging out with my hubby, watching endless hours of seasons of our favourite TV shows

What’s your favorite indulgence?
Peach pie with ice cream!

What’s your favorite movie?
Grease…I would have loved to live in that era, and be a Pink Lady! Oh and The Parent Trap

What’s your favorite part of your job?
Making people feel beautiful! I love the before and after, it’s such a feeling of accomplishment

Tracy is based in Winkler, Manitoba, which makes her the perfect make up artist for any bride in Winkler, Morden, Altona, Plum Coulee, Crystal City, La Riviere, Pilot Mound, Morris, Carman, and the list goes on!
